Welcome to Libertino Music

Libertino Music has been in existence since the mid-1980's. Initially focusing on teaching guitar and playing around at restaurants, weddings and clubs, by the early 90's Dan was teaching at local community colleges as well as serving as Music director at North Coast Calvary Chapel. After completing a Masters in Music degree from SDSU under the tutelage of the Romero's, Dan's solo performances included special appearances at churches around the Southern California area.

Libertino Music as a company began to broaden its scope of operations by entering the world of publishing, transcribing and engraving guitar folios for MelBay Warner Brothers for some of the great players of our time including Ottmar Liebert, Phil Keaggy and Dan Crary. Libertino Music continues to offer services and a music engraver to this day. After building a digital project studio Dan has been able to produce CD's for local song writers, pedagogical materials for local guitar shcools and demo CD's of various sorts.

Music Theory for the Guitar:

• Dan Libertino has written a text book for education entitled: "Beginning Music Theory for the Guitar". This text book has been used on the JC level and on the private market.

Guitar Lessons:

• Dan Libertino has been teaching all styles of guitar since 1981. Having begun playing rock
  in 1975, Dan has pursued the guitar as a learner, player and historian. Musical inspirations
  include Hendrix, Clapton, McLaughlin as well as Pepe Romero and Paco De Lucia.
• Dan Has taught musicians Jon Foreman of Switchfoot, Brendan Bosworth who is now
  running a Music School in central Seattle, Ali Shayesteh of HumanLifeIndex, Cory
